Vairagya (kinda reimagined)
/vaɪˈrɑːɡjə/
n. Sanskrit. detachment from material possessions, emotions, and worldly desires to achieve inner peace and freedom.
my interpretation
unlike the literal meaning of vairagya, i view it as a movement or change quintessential to move into the next arc of life.
whenever im faced with tough decisions or moments of transitions, trusting my instinct and believing that my thoughts are the best thing that can happen to me are enough to guide me forward.
that didn't require me giving up on material desires. it meant recognizing that the ceiling for this next arc might be higher.
that mindset helped me when i left my role as lead engineer to start a new project and months later getting dropped due to commitment issues and even when i moved cities.
